Friends of the Library Fundraiser

Visit our Friends of the Library at the craft show Friday, March 28, and Saturday, March 29 at the Stephens County Fairgrounds! They have created lots of very cool book crafts and more that they are selling to help raise money for the kitchen and board room renovations in the library.

Did you know about the renovations? If you've been in the library, you might have noticed a bigger mess than usual upstairs. That's because we've had to move a lot of things around to accommodate the changes. So far, about 85% of the money has been raised and the work has already started with replacing ceiling tiles, cleaning and replacing lighting, removing wallpaper, texturizing walls, and repainting. The changes so far have already made a tremendous difference!

More changes are coming. We'll be getting a new board room table and chairs, refurbished walls in the board room, a new set of doors on the art closet (which will become a pantry, but no worries, art supplies will just have a new space!), new cabinets, new countertops, and new appliances. This updated space will be used for lots of new programming and events we can't wait to invite you to!

You, library friend, can help by purchasing books in the booksale room, joining the Friends for just $10 a year, donating money specifically allocated to the renovation (donate $1,000 or more and get your name on a plaque!), and coming to Friends events and purchasing something, such as buying a handmade book craft from the craft fair!
