Watch movies for free on Kanopy!

Guess what, library card-holders? We now have access to Kanopy's movie streaming services for free with our Duncan Public Library cards! If you already have a Kanopy account, just add your card # and PIN (call us if you have any issues doing this). If you don't have an account, you can create one and add your library card!

Kanopy uses tickets to allow you to stream. Here is a screenshot of how tickets are used (clicking on it will take you to the website).

You don't check things out like you do with Libby or hoopla, if you start watching your film/show, the tickets will automatically be taken from your stash after you have watched for more than 5 seconds and it will start the timer for the number of hours your tickets have given you to watch that title. Each month, your number of tickets will reset to 12 (last month's leftovers do not roll over). Unfortunately, you may have times when you have to wait for more tickets to watch something, BUT that's not the case with Kanopy Kids:

When you enter Kanopy Kids mode, you are no longer limited by a ticket system and have access to unlimited streaming of their collection of Storybooks, educational shorts, PBS Kids and other popular kid shows, Read-along books, language learning (including sign language!) videos, and more!

We are so happy that we can add another service you can access for free with your Duncan Public Library card. The library gives you access to a whole world of information, education, and entertainment, and we hope you take advantage of all that we provide!
